Well, here's an update: The car is now headed to Alamo Motorsports (Autosports) in Arlington, TX for the completion of the build and the tune of the power FC. They gave me a range of 1-6 months for completion. I'll post updates as I get pictures from them or visit them on a monthly basis.

By completion, I mean power steering, fuel, and oil lines, modifying the exhaust and downpipe, wiring, electronics.

Uh...yeah.........

Let's break it down here:


Original Estimate for time: 1 year.
Total time spent so far: 1.5 years.

Original Estimate for Budget: $10,000 plus whatever I made off the old engine parts. (So like $15,000-$17,500)
I made about $7500 off the old engine parts (it was fully built, modded, etc.) and with the final completion should total around $28,000-$30,000. So total out of pocket so far has been about $22,500. Ouch.

I made the mistake of keeping an excel spreadsheet with every expense (and old part sold) and it just kept growing. Thankfully I paid for it all in cash (no credit cards!) so I have no debt from this project! Yay!

You seem the type to tackle any job put in front of you, must have been hard to see it shipped out for such a long period of time??
