The connector can also be found at the junk yard. Its the seat belt connector on most hondas. FREE

I also did it to my bros. 5th gen accord and it also worked! The yellow cable is located almost in the same place. I got the connector @ the junkyard for free!

Yeah, if the light comes back on, then there's a problem with teh actual system.
This includes the seatbelt connector that will trigger the srs light.

The problem is that the dealer will charge you a labor rate to evaluate/check the system.
If it comes back that it's a problem with the seatbelt, it can be fixed for free.
But you still have to pay for the evaluation:tgf:

You shouldnt have too pay for the evaluation if it comes up as something to do with the seat belts. I used to be a Service writer at Honda, if they try to charge you for that, talk to the manager.

But this won't work if you replaced the steering wheel with non-airbag wheel correct? It would just keep coming back on right? (maybe a dumb question, but had to ask).

Great write up! I just changed plugs, wires, cap/rotor and for the first time the SRS light came on. I'll try this method soon. Doesn't make any sense why it would come on just from doing what I did. I disconnected the neg bat term for awhile. Would that cause it?

Great thread but...

I took out the driver seat and had to turn on the engine, SRS came on. I put the seat back, reconnected all the connectors but the light stayed on.

I tried resetting it by jumping the yellow connector (the smaller of the 2) but nothing happens, it never goes off so I can't even proceeed with the 4second suggested procedure. I also tried the larger connecter, they are both plugged into the gray box.

After I jump the connector and put ignition in "on" the srs light never goes off....

Any suggestions????

Thanks
